The members of the Association Club of the Hospitaller Knights – Knights of Malta support talented young people. “If there is patience, dedication, and talent, you can achieve wonderful things,” shared Erica Agnes Cadar with us during the Gala of Excellence 2019, at the ceremony for the presentation of the Certificate of Merit awarded by the Club of the Hospitaller Knights – Knights of Malta to gifted young people. And because we wish all these prodigious children to become ever more widely known, today it is our great pleasure to introduce to you the pianist Erica Agnes Cadar.
Erica was born in 2004 in Bucharest, and at the age of four she touched the keys of a piano for the first time. Before turning six, she embarked upon the adventure called music at the Iosif Sava School of Arts No. 1 in Bucharest, in the piano department, under the guidance of the late Professor Maria Diaconeasa. Unlike many children of her age, she quickly realised what she wished to pursue in life and never once regretted the many hours devoted to music—hours she would not have exchanged for outdoor play under any circumstances. The reward for her dedication was not long in coming. Over the years, Erica has participated in numerous national and international competitions. Her record is impressive: over 60 prizes and medals, 28 of which are First Prizes or Prizes of Excellence, including Grand Prizes. She is currently a student at the Ion Luca Caragiale National College, in the 10th form, and continues to study the piano privately with Professor Viorica Nistoroiu. At present, Erica is preparing intensively for upcoming competitions: the 2nd International Amadeus Piano Competition in Italy, scheduled for March, and the 14th Lagny-sur-Marne International Piano Competition in Lagny-sur-Marne, Paris, France, to be held in April.

We wish you every success, our dear Erica A. Cadar!

The talent, dedication, and performance of young people are values intrinsically linked to the future of the communities in which we operate. Through the continued support of young artists and athletes, the Club of the Hospitaller Knights – Knights of Malta seeks to demonstrate that these values are truly appreciated, deserve to be constantly nurtured, and should be highlighted at national, European, and international festivals and competitions.
